Thanks for visiting the fundraising page for the Great North Children's Hospital Foundation which is administered by the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity (reg. 1057213). 

The Great North Children's Hospital at the RVI in Newcastle offers the most extensive range of children's services  anywhere in the UK outside of London. It has special wards, operating theatres, outpatients and day case suites all tailored just for children. It even has its own A&E department. Our young patients include thousands of local children from the North East and Cumbria as well as those who travel with their families from across the country, and even the world, to benefit from the GNCH's specialist services. 

The GNCH Foundation, incorporating the Newcastle Children's Hospital Charity, is the umbrella for the many charitable funds which support all our children's services here at GNCH. It brings together those with clinical and paediatric expertise with a focus on raising funds to support and enhance services provided within the GNCH.

The Foundation targets support for two areas. Firstly, innovations that really make a difference to our GNCH including the very latest equipment and support for staff who develop new areas of research and constantly strive to improve the way we do things. Secondly, the Foundation supports the many children and their families who come through our hospital, making their experience the best it possibly can be. We believe strongly that children get better more quickly when they are in an environment they enjoy so we strive for the GNCH to be welcoming and as different from a traditional hospital as possible.
