Story
Every weekend in the month of April I will be walking 15 miles in aid of Children's mental Health in the North East. Any and all donations welcome, no contribution is too small. Having worked in a school throughout this pandemic I can see first hand the effects Lockdown has had on children and their mental health and wellbeing. Please support me in my rambles around the North East and this charity for all they are doing for young people.
Waiting times for children's mental health services are unacceptable councillors have said, as 3,500 children across Newcastle and Gateshead are seeking help for mental health issues. There are currently over 800 children on the waiting list for mental health support in North Tyneside, Newcastle and Gateshead and two young people have waited over a year for an appointment. The number of children self-harming in Gateshead is significantly higher than the national average, and has been so for some years. Please Donate and together we will make the north-east a better safer place for the children we serve
