Fundraising for Hatzola Northwest Trust
Story
On 7th July 2017, my Grandma took a fall in her flat, badly injuring her hip. With the help of a Hatzola ambulance and quick thinking on the part of my cousin, she was able to get to hospital as efficiently as possible.
She then had to undergo a very dangerous and complicated operation on 10th July, from which she is still recovering.
The lovely messages, well wishes, thoughts and prayers we received during this time were greatly appreciated - I'd like everyone to know how encouraging their support is and how much it means to me and my family.
The work that Hatzola does is so important to our community - quite often one hears stories of how they made the scene of an accident straight away, when the national emergency services were too busy to get there fast enough.
Hatzola was “started by the community” to “serve the community”, and needs the ongoing support of every member of the community. Hatzola receives no government funding and relies totally on voluntary contributions to provide a prompt, efficient and professional response. Every contribution provides valuable financial assistance for training, supplies and equipment. Everyone knows someone who has been helped by Hatzola in the event of an emergency.
While the road to recovery is a long and arduous one, I'd like to take this opportunity at Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) on behalf of Grandma and the rest of my family, to thank Hatzola Edgware for their speedy response and fantastic work, as well as the RNOH in Stanmore for everything they've done for several family members over the years, and particularly of late!
