This Christmas, a team of young people and leaders from Bexley and Bromley Scouts will be travelling to Kenya and completing a number of community based projects as a part of the Explorer Belt Award. 

 

Our planned projects include:

- Running music and sports workshops for Kenyan Children in orphanges and those suffering from the reprocussions of the HIV/AIDs epedemic.

- Teaching valuable IT skills to young people to increase their employability. 

- Helping to build/decorate a new building.

- Providing a positive christmas experience for over 150 Kenyan Scouts.

Our fundraising events include 'Cycle 2 Kenya' (a 7,000km charity bike ride over the coming 3 months), race nights, quiz nights, movie nights, sponsored events, 'Pimp my Scarf', sponsor a scarf, and Kenyan themed programme evenings for Beaver /Cub /Scout /Explorer sections.
