In October 2018 following a routine mammogram I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Fortunately, due to Cancer research it was proven that my form of cancer did not response to chemotherapy, so my treatment involved surgery and radiotherapy, meaning that by May 2019 I was given the all-clear. In July 2019 I joined Relay for Life, Ascot as a way to pass it forward.

Relay has allowed me to engage with my creative side in decorating bras, hats and bunting. I have bonded with some lovely new people and made firm friends along the way, whilst knowing I am giving something back to Cancer Research. I find it inspiring, emotional and great fun come rain or shine.
