More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

On a May Saturday in both 2020 and 2021, thousands of members of the UK Government's international family came together to complete a global non-stop 24-hour virtual 'marathon'.  In more than 150 countries, colleagues and their families working for British embassies, high commissions, governors' offices and consulates, joined forces - each running, jogging or walking 1 mile in an unbroken chain from Vanuatu to Vancouver.

As the Globalmile rippled around the world, families and colleagues - many separated by the impacts of Covid-19 - were reconnected and reunited in a common endeavour, raising hope and cheer, and at the same time raising funds for important charitable causes.

On 7 May 2022, we will do it all again!  This year, Globalmile 2022 will raise funds for two important initiatives:

- The Queen's Green Canopy to 'Plant a Tree for the Jubilee', and support a sustainable future for the next generation (supported via official QGC partner Cool Earth);

- The Disasters Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to meet the needs of Ukrainian refugees and displaced persons.

If you are able, your contributions can make a big difference.  Thank you for taking the time to support Globalmile and these important charities.

Each contributing a little.  Together achieving a lot.
