Story

Firstly, thank you for visiting my page! I will keep this page updated with my training progress, fundraising efforts and the odd funny photo of me dying after a hill climb!

Why am I cycling 100 miles for Kith & Kids?

Kith & Kids support families that have children with a learning disability or Autism. They are a small charity based in Tottenham and do some excellent work in one of the most deprived areas in the country.

Thier work has been widely recognised and this is reflected in the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary service by groups in the community.

As well as raising money for Kith & Kids, this will also be a huge personal challenge to cycle 100 miles that covers the route used in the 2012 Olympic games (including the infamous Box Hill!).

Asperger Syndrome

Here's a bit about my background and why I am passionate about raising money and awareness for Kith & Kids.

I first heard of Kith & Kids through the special needs department at secondary school and was given a book about Asperger Syndrome by one of the teachers. Marc Segar: A survival guide for people with Asperger Syndrome. This book helped me tremendously throughout my school years and this was written in conjunction with Kith & Kids. Marc also volunteered for Kith & Kids and I have followed the charity since.

During my school years I had some learning and behavioural issues that led to me being suspended quite a few times. Thankfully the school had an excellent special needs department and some great teachers who helped me through school life.

I hope by raising awareness and funds for Kith & Kids, more people get to know about Autism & Asperger Syndrome and families and children get the support they need.
