Story

Suicide is the single biggest killer in men under the age of 45 (the age i will be turning at the time of the challenge), and now increasingly affects all age groups and genders and populations groups. It is particularly prevalent here in the North of Ireland, with cases rising 30% in the last 4 years.

Mental health issues are nothing to be ashamed of or hide away. We will all be subjected to poor mental health at some point in our lives, either directly or indirectly.

Charities like S.T.E.P.S help to take the stigma away from mental health issues and offer support to sufferers and their families. Charities like S.T.E.P.S literally save lives.

At the end of June I will be trekking up Carntogher Mountain 40 times, climbing over the height of Everest, in hopefully less than 48 hours. That's about 100 miles of mountain. I have no idea if I will succeed but I'm going to give my damnedest.

This is my tribute to all those that struggle; those that feel they are endlessly forcing their way uphill everyday without reprieve.

I see you.

Please donate if you feel you can, or support me be sharing this challenge and giving me encouragement. I'm going to need it.
