We provide specialist hospice care to people living with a terminal illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are currently hard in training for our 11th charity challenge - Cycle Burma on behalf of Thames Hospice. We have supported many charities over the past 20 years including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, Prostate Cancer,Bowel Cancer, & in 2016 trekked across Madagascar to raise money for Myeloma. All of our challenges are completely self funded.

Due to the loss of a dear friend Neal Wilkins in 2016 who peacefully passed away at Thames Hospice we have decided to do this challenge to raise funds for this wonderful local charity.  Thames Hospice provides expert medical, nursing and therapeutic care to adults who have life-limiting illnesses. It costs more than £7 million every year to keep their vital services running, free of charge, 365 days a year. They rely on 80% of their income from charitable donations.

The challenge itself is listed by Discover Adventure as DEMANDING travelling through villages & hilly terrain & unmade roads, the cycle distances vary each day from 78 Km to 115 Km for 7 days.

Your donations for this wonderful organisation would be very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
