Story

The personal bit...

As an animal osteopath, one of the first dogs I ever treated was a guide dog. I was invited into the headquarters of Guide Dogs for The Blind Association in Kings Cross to assess and treat an Alsation that had sadly fallen off a train platform onto some railway tracks. (I can't imagine how awful it would have felt for the blind person who was unable to fully intervene.) Thankfully, the dog was pulled to safety by passengers and staff and he survived. I was able to perform some osteopathy to help it along the way, after a vet examination and also reassure the owner.

I have a rescue saluki dog and the bond is incredible. He is a cherished member of our family.

Guide dogs have a unique enhanced bond with their owner, that allows them to manage every day tasks much easier.

This deep appreciation for the bond they have is why I am running for Guide Dogs, so others can benefit from the service (and love) they bring.

I'm hoping you can help me raise over £2000 to allow at least 3 birthing kits that enable a guide dog Mum to safely deliver her pups.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help reach this target.

Best wishes,

Glenn
