As part of National Grid's support of the Alzheimer’s Society this year they have put together the National Grid Grand Tour cycle challenge. This is a multi-day, multistage event with over 1,300 km of open roads and 13,000m of climbing.

Many of us unfortunately have been or will be touched in some way by Alzheimer's and the opportunity to raise money towards supporting those impacted has prompted me to take part in my first major charity event.

This is a mammoth undertaking organised and managed by volunteers from the business. Every penny raised will enable Alzheimer’s Support Workers to provide practical support and guidance to individuals and families living with dementia.
