Story
In 1990 a Metropolitan Police crew became the first to row non- stop from London to Paris.
Only four crews have successfully completed the course since then!
The Gravesend Landon 2 Paris crew will be rowing the race in a Thames Waterman Cutter from Westminster Bridge (Big Ben) to Pont D’léna (Eiffel Tower) in May 2010 which is a distance of 475 miles. The Race will be run over a series of timed stages and will last approximately 5 days.
Each crew is made up of a squad of 12 rowing in rotation. The Thames Waterman Cutters are rigged for six rowing positions and one coxswain.
