Giving Tuesday - #WhoWillYouHonour

Aside from scrapes and sprains I'd never interacted with the Hospital much as a patient or as a donor. That all changed last year when my mom found a cancerous lump. 

It was a truly terrifying time in our lives, and still is... to some extent. As she experienced months of diagnostic tests, scans, intensive radiation and chemo, and ongoing recovery, my family developed a new appreciation for healthcare. I really feel fortunate that we had access to the care necessary to fight for my mom's survival and maintain her quality of life throughout this agonizing journey.

CMH's new MRI will ensure that the best equipment is available locally when your family needs member needs it, although, I really hope they never do. 

Recently I was invited to serve our community in a new way, as a Foundation Board Volunteer, (and as the 2022 Giving Tuesday Ambassador!). I still give to several charities close to my heart, but the recent focus on my mom's health has prompted me to elevate CMH to my charity of choice. 

I am in awe of what Giving Tuesday donors have selflessly given in support of CMH in recent years.  This Giving Tuesday I'm asking you to dig a little deeper and help us exceed our goal of $25,000. All gifts received on this day also contribute to our Trees of Caring holiday appeal.

My family, like so many, gets to celebrate another holiday season together because of generous people like you.  I'm inviting you to join me as I honour my mom with my donation. Who will you honour this Giving Tuesday?
