Story
As a Milton Keynes site we have decided to challenge ourselves to complete the MK Half Marathon on Sunday 6th of September 2020 (originally meant to be Sunday 3rd May - put has been moved due to the COVID 19 pandemic).
We have a mixture of running capabilities in our team (some are complete beginners!) but we all have one thing in common, which is we want to raise some money for the fabulous work that Willen Hospice does.
We hope you can support us, no matter how little, every donation will help make a difference to the great work that this charity does.
Willen Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care for adults, focusing on four key areas: specialist symptom control, emotional support, spiritual support and care for carers.Often the most distressing aspect of living with life-limiting illnesses is the types of pain and symptoms which can arise. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers can give compassionate, specialist support to patients, and their family members, to help deal with, as they wish to, the physical and emotional effects of both their illness and treatments.
Our team members include: Melissa Turner, Yemin Sun, Christina Sleet, Ellen Carroll, Kieran Isaac, Lynne Draper, Sherrien Collins, Catherine Howard, Dan Smith, Louise Smith, Peter Orpwood, Paul Lees, Alistair Clark, John Kibble, Hollie Deakin, Jamie Ticktum, Alexia Dany and Ailsa Tindle.
