Giro di Muscoli · 12 September 2020

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 9am and 4pm.

Story

Due to the Coronavirus, the Giro di Muscoli was completed in September 2020 in three countries (UK, NL and Italy) as international travel was restricted. You can read the full story of my Giro di Muscoli adventure here: https://colincanride.com/giro-di-muscoli/

Gerben, who lives in Arnhem in The Netherlands has MND (ALS as it is known there). He is a dear friend of Colin & Jan who live in London and Italy.

In May 2020 Colin was 60. This was the catalyst for a two week cycling Grand Tour from his London cycling club, Islington (ICC), to his Italian cycling club, La Centinarolese, in Fano, Italy, via Arnhem. All to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease / ALS / SLA.

15 stages, 2,300km, from London to Arnhem, down through Germany, over the Alps, to Fano on the Adriatic coast.

Colin will ride every stage and will be joined by riders from ICC, La Centinarolese and riders across Europe.

Details and registration for the ride for at:

https://www.girodimuscoli.com

Colin has never done anything like this before but he is training hard. You can read more about Colin's preparations at:

https://colincanride.com

We are trying to raise as much money and awareness as possible in the UK, The Netherlands and Italy.

Thank you for your generosity.

Colin & Jan, Jeanne & Gerben
