Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the last year we -Tiana (11 years), Daisy-Mai (10 years) and their mum and nan - have spent time walking the southdowns way surrounding our home town of Worthing. During this time we set the challenge of walking the southdowns way. The girls decided they would like to do this to raise money for a charity. As the Springboard Project has always been a big part of our life by providing support to their brother, we decided it was time to give back to them.
The Springboard Project is focused on a world of equality where all disabled children young people and their families are able to reach there full potential.
The Springboard Project's mission is:
- To facilitate and offer advice and support to disabled children, young people and their families.
- Create environments and deliver services that develop identity and build self esteem.
- Advocate and raise awareness on disability and associated barriers.
- Enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of disabled children, young people and families.
The Springboard Project "Overcoming Barriers, Transforming Lives"
The course of the walk will cover 106 miles. We will start our journey in Winchester on May 2nd 2021 and will aim to finish in Eastbourne by the end of June. This is to allow for adverse weather conditions and school/work commitments. The target is to complete 12.5 miles a week, which I'm sure you will agree is a challenge for the little legs of Tiana and Daisy-Mai.
We will be setting up a Facebook page so you can follow our journey. Thank you for any donations and feel free to share our page.
Many Thanks
Tiana, Daisy-Mai, Terri and Wendy xx
