In a moment of e-bay madness, Lexi and Liz bought an old tandem in January 2010, and now feel the need to give it a whirl. So we're cycling from Fishguard (er... that's Fishguard, Wales) to Felixstowe (yep, on the east coast of England), to raise money for the Family Holiday Assocation. It's about 450 miles (depending on how many times we get lost), and we aim to do it in 8 days.
The Family Holiday Association is a charity which helps to provide breaks away from home for children whose families are affected by severe financial hardship and with extra difficulties such as long-term or terminal illness, violence or abuse. Currently, the charity hopes to help about 2,000 families this year - around 9,000 individuals - to have what is often their first ever family holiday.
Our kids are lucky enough to be able to go on holiday every year, and we want to see if we can help other kids do the same thing. So please dig deep and donate now. Kids need holidays.
