We Grant Wishes to enhance the lives of our beneficiaries

Story

Five of us Warblington school girls are walking the virtual London marathon for Katie's charity, The Genies Wish. We all turn 40 very soon, so I wanted to get some of the girl gang 99 out and about to walk a grueling 26.2 miles for a wish for 3 year old Acer who has a heart condition. We want to send him on his first family break to Blackpool.

We are so grateful for all the things we have in our lives and the friendships we have. We will get each other through the challenge.

KJ is praying that her legs have some muscle memory from previous treks, as she hasn’t walked in ages!

Hayley is worried about her hairdressing feet. She’s been on them for 24 years doing wigs.

Pondy has the Great South Run a few weeks after this, so she has some concerns, but her long legs will get her through!

Kim’s excited... we’re all wondering why!

Lina made the mistake of approaching KJ after a glass of wine and saying she wanted to do a challenge. There was no way out after that conversation!

Let's do it, girls: one team, one incredible group of friends, one special wish to grant for Acer. x

RCN 1193000
The Genie’s Wish is a UK newly registered charity whose mission is to enhance the lives of people aged 0-40years, living in England and Wales, who are suffering from a critical or terminal illness or living with a life-limiting medical condition. Our purpose is to bring respite and joy into the lives of our beneficiaries and their families, by providing them with a life-changing wish, experience, or ongoing opportunity. We also provide wish experiences, bespoke events and activities for young carers, aged 5-16, in recognition of the bravery, kindness and selflessness they display daily by caring for a family member.
