Help children in the slums of Kenya to get through the pandemic
The Giraffe Project children's charity helps children in the slums of Kenya to build themselves a future by going to school and receiving further education or professional training.
In mid-March, Kenya joined the list of countries taking drastic measures to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus. All schools, restaurants, markets and the small businesses that sustain life in the slums have been forced to close.
The Giraffe school community is pulling together to minimise the impact on the children's education. Special help is needed to cover the salaries of teachers and support staff, rent and/or running expenses of the schools, food and teaching supplies.
Thank you for playing your part in supporting the teachers and children through this difficult time.
