Story
Hello friends and family
I hope that you are all enjoying a sunny summertime. Those down in the south might be enjoying toasted crumpets with gentleman's relish and cool winter days.
As you may know I am quite keen on walking and on September 11th will be setting off from Stonehenge for 26 miles. The destination is Avebury with the route along the laylines so might have some mystical experience to spin me on my way.
A little about the walk.....please have a glass of wine and read on.....
The Memory Walk is organised by the Alzheimer's Society to raise funds to help people with dementia. I named Pop of course as my memory man. I know you will remember how horrendous the disease was for him and for Mom in trying to support him.
The Alzheimer's Society supports people to live as well as possible with dementia. It now supports families and carers and funds research to find a cure one day. Please go to their web page for more information - I was pretty shocked at the figures.
I think that I might be looking a little less flowery at the end of the yomp across Salisbury Plain.
I have been training up and by mistake seem to be down for a 'kamikaze' 8 mile run/gasp. You Blundellians will remember the Russell crosscountry mud - it looks like that.
I am hoping that you might like to make a small - or large - contribution to this important charity. I absolutely guarantee that if I do not complete I will match your gift to the Society.
Thank you.
With love to you all
Ginny - Sister Auntie Mum and very Proud Grandmother to Sam
