My good friend Mandy Rowbottom, has somehow persuaded us to abseil down our famous Peel Tower at the top of Holcombe Hill in Ramsbottom, all in the name of raising funds for a very special cause, Bury Cancer Support. It is a small charity that often is forgotten, as its profile isn't a large as others. They gave both Mandy & Peter massive support whilst Peter was poorly & have continued do so for Mandy, now that my lovely friend Peter is no longer with us.

We will be taking on the Tower challenge and abseiling down the impressive 128ft Peel Tower on Holcombe Hill in Ramsbottom. Abseiling will involve safely descending the tower by sliding down a rope, under controlled and supervised conditions.

The event is being run with the support and expertise of Alternative Adventure – adventure and outdoor professionals, who are very experienced in running abseiling and other outdoor events, so I'm sure we will be in safe hands!
