Story
Hello!
I've decided to challenge myself this Ramadan by only having an odd-number of dates and water (a gallon lol) every suhoor. Nothing else. Nope nothing. No random snacks in the glovebox, no freshly-cut watermelon. Not even the outrageous suhoor Tinseltown frass-outs with the brothers.
Why am I doing this? Well I'm someone who recognises the effects of food on the mind. Contrary to popular belief, what you eat has a massive effect on how you think. I recently (5-months in now) became pescatarian, and I can honestly say I've definitely been fuelled with more brain power.
Raising awareness about mental health, particularly men's mental health, is important to me (as it should be to you), because it's something that has been, and is still is, swept under the carpet. It's about time we recognise mental health not as something which means you are weak, but something that can be medicated with the right treatment.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and I would really appreciate it if you could donate a little something-something to my page. No donation is "small", and every little helps.
All donations will go to Inspirited Minds - a Muslim mental health charity here in the UK, which campaigns against stigma, raises awareness, and provides support day-in-day-out all around mental health.
Dip.
