Story
On Saturday 21st June at 7am I will be attempting the hardest challenge I have ever yet faced. I will be running my very first ultramarathon. This is a gruelling 69 mile trek up and down steep and unforgiving hills across the rugged but beautiful Northumberland landscape. Apparently, it is common to become delirious, to vomit, to hallucinate and some may even drop out all together.
So why am I doing this you might ask? Well, to me running competitions are really mental tests that allow you to push yourself into realising how far you can go and how much you can achieve. If you can be dedicated and motivate yourself into completing a hard physical challenge, then anything is possible. For me, running is inspiration.
But more importantly, I am raising money for Cure Parkinson's Trust. I have recently become very close to someone with Parkinson's disease. It is an unforgiving condition to have to live with, but the determination, positivity and head strong independence with which this person grasps life and all its opportunities, is truly inspirational.
So in the name of inspiration, please donate to my page in order to spur me on to the finish line! The more you can give, the more I will be determined to make it all the way to the end.
