After being inspired by a friend in Dundee who is about to finish his own similar challenge (shout to Keir Malloch who has also given me lots of good advice and his blessing), I decided I wanted to do something that was both physically challenging for myself, and would benefit a charity.
This particular charity, Combat Stress, Mental Health support for Veterans, has seen a significant increase in the services sought by veterans and their families during the Covid19 Pandemic, and as a result of government safety measures, has had to adapt the ways in which they deliver their support, adding further strain on resources. They have seen an increase in the support sought by people during the pandemic which is obviously good that people reaching out, however they need the funds to keep in touch! They are a UK-wide charity open to service men and women and their families, and I just thought they could do with a wee boost. :)
I realise times are difficult for everyone at the minute, however a few quid you would have spent on a pint, parking ticket, horse/football bet, bonus ball, bingo game etc, would go a long way.I'll post a link to their website below which gives more details on how to contact the charity and speak to someone who may be able to help you. :)
