I first met with the Sussex Snowdrop Trust last year where they shared stories of their incredible work in the most unimaginably difficult situations. At the time I promised to join their annual sponsored walk to raise awareness and money for this brilliant local charity. I am very pleased to say my husband is putting on his walking boots too.
Michael and I will be taking part in The Sussex Snowdrop Trusts Annual Walk joining families and friends of the charity in the beautiful scenery of Arundel Castle Park.
This amazing charity provides nursing care at home for local children who have a life-threatening illness, some of whom are terminally ill. Based in the Chichester area of West Sussex, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust provides children's community nurses and nurse support workers who can provide a level of care that means these children are able to stay at home for much of their treatment. These nurses also support parents by teaching them how to be carers for their children. Their whole team provide emotional support to the families, and the charity have a specialist counsellor on hand. The charity also offers financial support relieving some of the day-to-day pressures felt by families caring for a very sick child.
Michael and I would be grateful if you could join us in supporting this incredible charity.
