Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I managed a not especially impressive time of 5:57 but this has set me up for serious training for London.

I ran the New York Marathon this year to support Fight for Sight - you can read about their work on this link www.fightforsight.org.uk/

I'm supporting Fight for Sight to support the brilliant work they are doing in working towards a cure for Choroideremia. My late Father suffered from this degenerative condition, and I'd like to try to help to make sure that future generations of sufferers don't face a future without sight. Since I created this page there has been some fantastic news about the progress which has been made thanks to the support of charities like Fight for Sight.

Thank you to all my dear friends and family who have donated and to my lovely son Alex to thank for encouraging me to take the plunge. His running time was 2:38, and although he's not happy with that, I can't imagine being able to do it in that time!!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you would lke to donate, the page will be open for little while yet. Thank you.
