Story

We are dancing because raising funds for Scottish Huntington’s Association & raising awareness of HD means the world to us. My Mum had Huntington’s Disease, which is a genetic, progressive, degenerative brain disorder. It affects  movement, coordination, mood, and the ability to walk, talk, eat and think. It is hereditary, and I have the affected gene, so will go on to develop it too.

I am very, very lucky  to have a later onset and still be symptom-free, as it typically presents in your 30’s or 40’s.  I love my life and am blessed to have 3 beautiful daughters and the support of the best family and friends ever.💕    I am doing this in memory of my lovely Mum,  for my girls, and for all who are affected with HD.

Will you please help us? People impacted by Huntington's disease need specialist services to cope with severe and complex symptoms, the impact on families, and a lack of awareness and understanding about this devastating condition.Your donation will help Scottish Huntington's Association to reach every Huntington's family through their Huntington's Disease Specialists, Financial Wellbeing Officers and Specialist Youth Advisors. Please give whatever you can to help this fantastic charity.  Keeeeeep Dancing! Love, Team Gillian. Xx 💃🕺💜
