I am not someone who finds swimming in open water easy. It's cold, murky, the water gets choppy and fills your mouth when you're trying to breathe, it's sometimes impossible to see where you're swimming to, and once you've committed to the swim, no matter how bad conditions are, or how you feel, you have to then swim all the way back or carry on to the destination (which seems to always be the same distance away!) 

Some find open water swimming exhilarating and easy. I just find it hard. So, I've set myself this challenge to help raise a little money for Cancer Research, knowing that any open-water swim I do will be easy compared to the challenge of dealing with cancer.
