I have never ran further than 10k, so running the London Marathon is a real bloody challenge! As you can imagine, it huge personal goal for me. I have worked out it is going to take me 5 hours. Imagine doing anything for 5 hours, let alone running?! I currently can't even watch a film for 3 hours without falling asleep...

I am doing it on behalf of Orbis UK, a flying eye hospital that transforms lives through eye care.

I am doing it on behalf of Orbis UK, a charity which treats avoidable blindness in Africa and Asia, in country and using their Flying Eye Hospital.

There are 39 million people in the world that are blind and sadly, 80% of them didn’t need to be. With just antibiotics or a routine operation that we take for granted here, their vision could have been saved. Imagine the world around you in darkness. For millions of people this darkness is a reality. Blindness takes away so much more than vision; it makes it impossible for you to study, work, support your family. For those already living in extreme poverty, it can make life unbearable. Orbis wants to make sure that no-one loses their sight simply because of where they were born.
