Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you will know, my daughter Ruth will be starting a course of chemotherapy next week. She doesn't have cancer in the generally understood meaning of the word, but she has a life-changing condition which has failed to respond to other treatments, and needs to bring things under control so that she can carry on her life after two years of waiting for this damned thing to disappear
She is fortunate enough to be having her treatment in the brand spanking (nearly) new Bexley wing of St James' Hospital in Leeds, but she is still under the care of the Royal Marsden, which is this country's leading cancer hospital, and where she has spent many hours in a cramped busy outpatient department.
They need funds for hospital development and further research, so please, anyone who would have been silly enough to buy me a birthday present next month (and feel free even if you wouldn't have!) donate to this charity instead
I hope to have many more birthdays when Ruth will be well and we can enjoy all our birthdays
Gill
