I have chosen to run the Chester Half Marathon for Cancer Research because everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer in some way.  I am hoping that one day the work that Cancer Research do will lead to finding a cure and eventually a prevention for the disease.  I'd like our children to grow up in a world that no longer lives in fear of getting cancer. 

I am running in memory of the people that my friends and family have lost to cancer, including my amazing Nanny, Margaret Watt.  I have been inspired to run after watching a member of one of my best friend's family bravely overcome cancer treatment...a true hero.  A half marathon is a walk in the park in comparison!
