Tens of thousands of people are living in appalling conditions in refugee camps in Syria. They urgently need warm clothing, bedding and medical supplies as the sub-zero winter temperatures descend. International Aid agencies have been unable to reach these people but a small British charity called Hand in Hand for Syria is successfully managing to get convoys of supplies through. Visit their website to find out more about them: www.handinhandforsyria.org.uk. On December 15th I am going to do a 20 mile sponsored walk around the Stepney area here in East London. I will go and buy warm bedding with all the money I raise and it will be taken out to Syria early in January. There is even a possibility that I might be flying out to join the convoy to see the aid being distributed. I will update you when I know more details.
