Having attended the 1st Maggie’s on the Runway in June 2016 to support a friend who was appearing on the catwalk. 3 weeks later  I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer aged 42,  which goes to show you never know when you or somebody you love may need support from Maggie’s.

Maggie’s centres offer emotional, practical and social support for people and families who are living with or have been affected by cancer. Maggie’s Manchester (opposite the Christies hospital) is a non- clinical environment with a unique surroundings and a safe haven at a very vulnerable part in your life.

This will be the 2nd Maggie’s on the runway event. To give something back to Maggie’s I want to raise awareness and give support to this amazing charity. I am going to be strutting my stuff on the catwalk (under Concorde) with my team Ricks Chicks and Chaps which includes the one and only Rick Astley! I’m also organising a Boys v Girls pub quiz and a curry in our local pub. It costs £2500 a day to run Maggie’s Manchester, so any amount you can donate no matter how small would be very much appreciated by myself and Maggie’s, the money raised  goes to Maggie’s Manchester.
