Dear All,

As many of you are aware I am a very passionate supporter of Alzheimer's Society and like many charities there never seems to be enough funding

On the 11th September I took part in the Glasgow to Edinburgh bike ride otherwise known as Pedal Scotland...51 miles of cycling through towns I have never heard of with hills I never want to see again!!Typical scottish weather ensured that waterproofs were "must have fashion" and as you will see from the photo helped bring out the colour in my cheeks..

Last sunday I drove down to Newcastle at ridiculous o'clock and took part in the largest half marathon in the world, the Great North run. A truly inspiring day surrounded by so many other runners and the people of Newcastle out in force supporting our efforts. I have included before and after pics and yes there was more rain.

My last challenge is going to be the Aviemore Highland half marathon on the 16th October, very different terrain and my version of 71 degrees north...freezing!
