Story
It's about time I did something about the huge amount of blubber I've managed to acquire over recent months. My trousers are ready to surrender and my bed is considering legal action. With that in mind it's time for a diet and while I'm about it I might as well try and raise a few pounds for a worthy cause. So! Would you please sponsor me to lose weight between Monday 13th October and Friday 14th November? My target is to lose 10lbs but even more if I can, all money raised will go to the BBC's Children in need appeal.
13/10/08 - Update: I got my official starting weight today, it depends how you look at it really. The new scales at work tell me I'm 15st 7lbs, personally I think they're being kind (They were VERY cheap!) as the scales at home think I'm 16st 1lb. So my target is: 14st 11lbs at work or 15st 5lbs at home. Tremendous.
17/10/08 - Update: First weigh in today! Home scales: 15st 10lbs = Loss of 5lbs. Work Scales: 15st 2lbs = Loss of 5lbs. At least the loss is consistent!
25/10/08 - Update: Second weigh in. Home scales: 15st 7lbs = Loss of 3lbs. Work scales: 14st 12lbs = Loss of 4lbs. I've decided to claim the lower of the two losses and say 3lbs this week. Total loss is now 8lbs. Tremendous.
31/10/08 - Update: Third weigh in. I've been on leave most of this week so just the home scales this time I'm afriad. Home scales show a miserable 15st 6lbs = Loss of 1lb. 1 bloody pound, my stomach (ample though it is) thinks my throat's been cut! Total loss is now 9lbs. 1lb off target with two weeks to go....
07/11/08 - Update: Fourth weigh in. Home scales: 15st 2lbs = Loss of 4lbs. Work scales: 14st 8lbs = Loss of 4lbs. Total loss is now 13lbs. Ye Ha, Rock and Roll etc...Goal now achieved!!!!! Plan is to hit the full stone next week.
14/11/08 - Final Update: DONE IT!!!!!
Home scales: 15st = Total loss of 15lbs.....groovey...
Work scales: 14st 1lb = Total loss of 20lbs.....Naaaaa. They really were cheap! I'm going to stick with a nice honest 15lb total loss.
