UPDATE
Well I have just got home and am about to crack open a beer. My unofficial time was 2:27:45 so I beat 2:30. It was incredibly tough with the wind a real problem, and I have to admit that I was feeling the pain on the run and was pretty close to stopping, however I kept turning over in mind all the donations that everyone made - so I kept going.
Thanks again for all your generosity.

Last year I took up triathlon, partly to combat middle age spread, but also to support the Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust, and raised a fantastic amount of money to help families impacted by this rare genetic syndrome.
Maddie, my goddaughter, who brightened our lives for too short a time, was born with Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome in 1999. During the time she was alive the Trust provided invaluable support to her parents. The vital work they provide continues today, offering information and support to families all over the UK.
This year I am taking on the world's largest triathlon putting myself through the pain and embarrassment of swimming in the docks then running and cycling around London in my lycra. And I'm trying to do in under 2:30 hours.
So please sponsor me - it really helps!
Thanks
Giles
