Story

Jo, Holly, Thomas and I are taking on 10 miles at The Thames Path Wellness Walk on the 3 May 2020 to fight for a world where diabetes can do no harm.

My nephew Riley was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 3. So for the rest of his life he will have to have daily injections and change his diet. I am sure any of you with kids will know how hard it is to get your child to have a injection. My brother Charlie and sister in law Monique have been amazing to help Riley through this tough period of his life.

We are doing this walk to raise awareness as well as money for Diabetes UK to help fund research to and hopefully find a cure or put it into remission. So hopefully one day kids like Riley won’t have to struggle with it.
