Giles' Running the London Marathon!

Award winning children’s author Giles Paley-Phillips is setting himself
the ultimate running challenge by taking part in this year’s Virgin
Money London Marathon on Sunday 24 April 2016 to raise funds for
leading international charity ActionAid.
The author, who lives with his family in Seaford, is a keen runner and has always wanted to take part in the marathon so was only too happy to take up this opportunity to run for ActionAid who work across 45 countries to support women and children living in extreme poverty.Giles said: “It has been a real privilege to be asked to be involved with ActionAid, whose amazing work changes the life of entire communities.“I've been a running enthusiast for a while and participating in the London Marathon has always been something I've wanted to do, so to run for such an incredible organisation as ActionAid is a dream come true.”
Giles will join the ActionAid team of 45 runners who will be taking to the streets of London for this world-famous event .Alessandra Arnott, ActionAid UK’s Supporter Events Officer, said: “Wedelighted to have Giles join the ActionAid running team to help raise money and change lives for good. We look forward to supporting him on the big day.”
