As you can see so far, the training is going well. I like to think that a high carb diet coupled with a 'not risking injury with any unnecessary training' routine is the best way to ensure a fast half marathon time.
Seriously though, the Wallace & Gromit Childrens Foundation is a great organisation and any money raised will go to a fantastic cause.
Those of you who know me well will know that I am very competitive and never do things at 'half measure' therefore, I am gonna give this thing my best shot!
Needless to say, the photo on the left was taken some time ago and yes, I am training at least 4 times a week so, apologies to my drinking buddies who haven't seen me for some time!

The training is going really well and so far, I am running a steady 5 miles twice a week and cross training / weight training three times a week. The beer gut that you see in the photo to the left has all but gone and I am living on a diet of chicken, pasta, water and thin air!

Well , less than a week to go but feel fit and ready!
Best distance so far has been approx 9 miles however, I felt pretty good by the time I had finished so the extra 4 miles shouldn't be too tough!!
Aiming to complete the run in under 2 hours - wish me luck - lol !!!
