Story

Hi,

I was born in 2012 with club foot on both feet and have been looked after by Professor Mark Eidelman and his team at Rambam Hospital from birth. Thanks to their remarkable efforts I am able to walk and run. Rambam Hospital was built by the British and is committed to treating people from many surrounding countries.

Since 2016 I have been taking part in the Maccabi Fun Run 1K and 5K events and have made a long term commitment to raise funds for Rambam and Professor Eidelman’s team so that they can help many more children. Professor Eidelman has run with me a number of times which makes the event even more special.

In 2019 I required remedial surgery to ensure that my feet remain healthy throughout adulthood. Afterwards I was wheelchair bound and had to learn to walk and run again. Then the pandemic arrived which means it is three years since my last Maccabi Fun Run. Professor Eidelman is unable to join me this year since he is busy teaching in underdeveloped countries so that Doctors there can learn to help children better. He has promised to join me next year!

I would be extremely grateful if you can sponsor me to run the 5K and 1K races. Thank you so much for any contribution you are able to make.
Best wishes,

Gil
