Story
We are tying up our laces and breaking a sweat at the Colour Run Saturday 21st June in aid of the Children's Hospice South West charity, please dig deep for this cause - it's a local charity to us over in the South West that work hard on a daily basis to help and support poorly children and their friends and family.
WHO AND WHY?
Gibe Digital are focussing their fundraising efforts in 2014 on the Children's Hospice South West. Track our sporting competitions, adventures and challenges as we go through 2014 and we hope you'll support us every step of the way. Ofcourse we are voluntarily putting ourselves through these challenges but the children which CHSW supports have to go through challenges on a daily basis. CHSW help and support children and their families who are living with life-limiting conditions. They are the only organisation in the South West to provide vital hospice care to these families, and are here for families day and night throughout the year.
MORE ABOUT CHILDREN'S HOSPICE SOUTH WEST
There are over 1000 children who could benefit from our care, yet we are only able to provide care for up to 400 families. Of these, some come to us for palliative care, some for emergency care and many for planned respite and a rare opportunity for a break.
But there’s more to it than that. We provide a loving and caring place for every member of every family who stays with us; a sanctuary for mums and dads, brothers and sisters. A place where everyone can begin to forget their worries for a while, be a family again and find expert help and support in facing an uncertain future.
Children’s Hospice South West has three purpose-built hospices in the South West. Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
