Story

You might be thinking to yourself..."Why would a girl with Cerebral Palsy run the London Marathon?" Because I want to. AND my Cerebral Palsy doesn't define me in the sense of hindering me. My Cerebral Palsy is a gift. Without the opportunity to overcome everyday, my life would be boring. So, I run for a lot of reasons. First, I'm running to raise money for the charity SOS (Stars Organisation Supporting Cerebral Palsy). SOS is a fabulous organization that is completely volunteer based so the funds raised here will go directly to benefit adults with Cerebral Palsy. They purchase things like computers for people who cannot speak and this is their only means of communication. They basically make dreams come true and I would sign up for that every day of the week! So the point is... we need some money! Any size gift and your prayers are greatly appreciated! Secondly, I run for my Grandmother, who taught me to walk- more than once due to spinal surgery. Lastly, I run to give people hope. This will be my 2nd marathon. I completed my first one April 30, 2005 in my home town of Nashville, TN. Please visit the web link attached to view a newspaper article from the Tennessean titled "Faith to the Finish Line". http://tinyurl.com/cefqw Please spread the word and forward this along. Thanks for your kindness, money, and prayers! Gianna
