Gill's Elekta Ltd Abseil Challenge, 3 September 2022
We provide vital care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Story

I have worked for Elekta for 9 years and very proud to be part of a company who are constantly working towards providing the best possible life outcome for every Cancer patient for your family and mine.  I am sure every one of you have a connection to someone who has been touched by this dreadful life changing disease.

Elekta provide cutting-edge, precision radiation therapy, for the treatement of cancer, building hope for those affected by it.

Along with a team of colleagues, on 3rd September 2022, I will be abseiling down the Emirates Spinnaker Tower - a 100 metre descent down the side of Portsmouth's iconic landmark.

Any money I am fortunate to raise will be for St Catherines Hospice, our Charity Partner, based in Crawley, West Sussex.  They provide expert hospice care for when life comes full circle.  They pride themselves in keeping those that are affected with cancer and in need of hospice care informed, supported and pain free, at a time when it is most needed.

The pandemic meant St Catherines, Hopsice had to drastically reduce their services.  Reliant solely on donations and no government income, there has never been a more important time to give back to the community.

One in five people will develop cancer before the age of 75 and one in six deaths are due to cancer.  It impacts all of us.

Please help me make a difference and support those in need of end of life care.
