Story
The beginning of this year was a tough one with some unexpected injuries (broken wrist and dog attack) that left me a little incapacitated I realised how many things we normally take for granted when healthy and how I’m really quite lucky for all my body allows me to do.
So feeling like I wanted to challenge myself (understatement considering the duration of anything I’ve ran before) I signed up to run the Manchester Marathon on April 16th for the Christie hospital- a leading cancer hospital and research centre in Manchester (isle of man feeder). The work the Christie does is far beyond medical care and supports patients through every step and emotion of their cancer journey whilst also undergoing research to find kinder treatments🫶
