Story
The GFC School will collectively ‘travel’ to Gillingham’s furthest Sky Bet League One rivals Sunderland, in perhaps our most gruellingly difficult charity challenge yet!
Staff and students are aiming to cover every inch of the exhausting 305 miles between MEMS Priestfield Stadium and the Stadium of Light in aid of Red Nose Day on Friday 18th March. We will do this by running around the perimeter of the pitch and also using cycling and rowing machines to help clock up the miles.
Some pretty amazing challenges have been completed by the school, who have achieved the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Bronze Award, to raise impressive amounts for charity over the years (including scaling Mount Everest in an almighty steps challenge
and using rowing machines to match the distance of the River Medway). This year we will be going further than we have ever gone before.
Please spread the word, donate to our fundraising page and cheer us on as we cover a distance that would take a car five and a half hours to complete.
