From Gerry: last year my dad Eddie spent his final weeks being looked after by the wonderful staff at St. Ann's Hospice in Little Hulton, Manchester. They went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible and showed nothing but kindness to him and our family.

Hospice care is very expensive. To continue to provide free care, St. Ann's needs to raise an astonishing £16,000 every day. Please help this hospice carry on its amazing work by donating to our Great Manchester Run. Dad really wanted to help when he was there so this is our chance to raise funds in his memory. 

Dad would be raising his eyebrows if he was here at the thought of the three of us running 10K in his honour as we're not known for our running abilities these days - we need encouragement!
