With less than 10 weeks to go Marie-Anne has a running injury which means she can’t do the race…but do not fear as the wonderful Lisa Smith as stepped up to take her place!

2023 marks the first anniversary of losing our Dad and the 30th anniversary of losing our Mam. Both taken too soon by cancer. We’ve decided to take on a challenge to try and give back and thought it was fitting to raise money for Marie Curie. We have experienced first hand the support they offer during the most difficult of times, and the care and attention they give to individuals at the end of their life. 

It’s been over ten years since we last took on the Great North run and I can’t remember the last time I ran for much more than 15 minutes (does running round after the boys count?!), so it will be a test to get back up to half marathon fitness

Any donations are greatly appreciated and will no doubt help us get round on the day, but more importantly give us the motivation to get out and train! If you aren’t able to donate a share of the page is also hugely appreciated
