My name is Gerard Campbell from and I am fundraising on behalf of the Foyle Hospice in Derry, Northern Ireland. Why have I decided to raise money for the Foyle Hospice? Well I along with everyone else either knows someone or has family affected by Cancer. Foyle Hospice provides ongoing palliative care services for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses while supporting their families and loved ones. I am going to be participating in a Charity Cycle on Weds 16th June – Sun 20th June 2010 from the Bottom most Southern point of Ireland (Mizen Head) to the most Northern point (Malin Head) Known as the Mizen - Malin which is approximately 400 miles (the training has started already). So I hope to raise as much money as possible. The Foyle Hospice is an independent, non-profit, non- sectarian, community-based hospice. The Hospice relies on community support to help bridge the gap between insurance reimbursement and the actual costs of providing quality hospice care. It currently costs £1.8 million per year to run the Hospice, maintaining the excellence of care they provide for their patients and their families and the standard of their buildings and facilities.Just 13% of their income is provided by the local government. This means that the remainder of their costs - some £1.5million - have to be raised through the generosity of the local community
That’s why I am calling on my friends to help me out.
Would you consider sponsoring me? Any amount would be deeply appreciated. Thankyou in advance and god bless.
