WE NEED YOU HELP SPECIAL APPEAL FOR BECKY

We really hate asking people for money (please don’t stop reading), but sometimes needs must, and we would only ever ask to help a dog.  

Meet Becky, she will be eleven in August.  Sadly Becky’s owner died so we were contacted for help - how could we say “no” to this sweet little girl, who needed someone to care for her. 

It would have been terrible for Becky to come into a kennel environment, having lived in a home for so many years, so I drove her to Gloucester for Patricia to very kindly foster her.  

However, today she has been to the vets as she is not spayed or vaccinated and we were aware that her teeth were in need of some attention.  

We were not really prepared for the vet to say that it is unlikely that she will keep any of her teeth – they all need to come out!!! – estimated bill £800 for the teeth alone, this is without the spay and vaccinations.  

Then things got a whole lot worse, poor Becky has two mammary tumours, which will require further investigation, but the main priority is to get her pain free and her mouth and teeth sorted – I really can’t imagine how much pain she must be in, but she is a real little trooper and a happy girl, I suppose she has got used to the pain.    

We are looking to try and raise at least £1,000 towards Becky’s treatment – although the final bill is going to be considerably more than this, but this will at least sort her teeth and help towards her spay.   We have no idea what is going on with the mammary tumours (they are currently small), but we will absolutely do our very best for this sweet girl.
