We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

I am taking part in five half marathons and a team relay (Team Rodgers) between April and September 2018 to raise funds to support the work of the Royal National Institute of blind people (RNIB) which is a charity that is close to me and my family as I have two sisters who are partially sighted.

All the proceeds will go towards 'supporting blind and partially sighted people with sight loss who benefit from RNIB NI''s services in Northern Ireland.

The details of the half marathons and relay are -

Omagh    Saturday 7th April

Belfast City marathon (relay)  Monday 7th May

Edinburgh  Sunday 27th May

Coca Cola Lisburn Wednesday 20th June

Simplyhealth
Great North Run Newcastle(England)  Sunday 9th September

I will also be hosting a 'Dine in the Dark' event in the Greenvale Hotel Cookstown on Friday 28th September 2018.

You can find details of this event on my Facebook page and RNIB N.Ireland''s page as well.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
